Sunday Scaries (on a Monday)

A bonus day of rest or revelry

doesn't make it any less scary

from the sweet taste of freedom

we are thrust back into the humdrum

days of fresh air and cool breezes

swapped for long hours and endless teacups

that feeling down deep in your gut

I thought I was out of this rut

pouring yourself a cup of ambition

to spend 4 more days in this war of attrition
